T h a i L A P Thai Lifestyle Art Project (Thai LAP) is a three-year commission during which I travel with my Thai hosts to an area where I observe and absorb elements of the various regions then create a body of work (paintings on canvas and paper, video, and images of my creative process) reflecting my interpretations of the lifestyle, culture and aesthetics of Thailand. Each visit to Thailand consists of two weeks of travel and studio work under the sponsorship and patronage of international business and management consultant James A. Menges, an American expatriate and nearly twenty year resident of Thailand. Jim's photography and video camera work are integral to the documentation of this project. Images shown here are but a sampling of the paintings and photographs created during November 2006. for more information: for the international vision: ![]() S.P. in front of Lifestyle, Saraburi, Thailand, November 2006 (photo:James A.
